Dos and don'ts at food scraps recycling drop-offs: DO recycle fruit & vegetable scraps, cooked food, meat, fish, bones, dairy (cheese & yogurt), coffee grounds & tea leaves (remove all filters), eggshells, bread & grains. DON'T recycle pet waste, napkins or paper, foodware or packaging, yard trim, pizza boxes, liquids, produce stickers, rubber bands.

Drop-off your food scraps every week at the Derwood Farmers' Market. 

Drop off the following food scraps so that they can be recycled:

  • Coffee grounds and tea leaves (remove filters)
  • Cooked foods
  • Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
  • Eggshells
  • Fruit and vegetable scraps
  • Meat, fish, and bones
