Every winter, farmers, educators, agriculture service providers, and foodpreneurs gather for Future Harvest’s annual conference — an extra special two days of workshops, lectures, farmer-to-farmer sessions, a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, all-star lineup of speakers, and lots of learning and networking! We are thrilled to host our conference at the Silver Spring Civic Building this year, convenient to the Metro, dining options, ice skating, and the FRESHFARM Downtown Silver Spring Farmers Market!
Important Hotel Information: Future Harvest has reserved deeply discounted hotel rooms at the Courtyard Marriott Silver Spring Downtown, 8506 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, just across the square from the conference. To receive the discount, hotel rooms must be booked with conference registration. Staff will be in touch to confirm your reservation one week before the conference. Your ticket includes locally-sourced boxed lunches on Friday and Saturday. We will also host a happy hour on Friday night, with snacks, a cash bar and activities like farmer bingo! Silver Spring also has lots of walkable local options for food and entertainment.
Can't get enough? One location, three events! Come to the Civic Building on Thursday January 16th for the Cultivate and Craft Value-Added Agriculture Summit. Stay an extra day on Sunday January 19th for a Produce Safety Rule Grower Training offered by the Maryland Food Safety Network, also at the Civic Building. We can't wait to see you for this incredible weekend!
