As the federally, state, and locally designated anti-poverty group, the CAB advocates for policies that address the needs of lower-income County residents. CAB also serves as the governing body for the Community Action Agency and, in collaboration with the Head Start Parent Policy Council, the County's Head Start program. Members are appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. The CAB typically meets the on 4th Tuesday of the month (except in July, August and December) at 6 pm. The CAB Executive Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6 pm. All meetings are virtual unless otherwise specified on the Board Meetings webpage.
