This site is an outreach and education initiative of the Montgomery County, MD, Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and is supported by several County Departments and agencies, local nonprofit organizations, and community members. The website is a user-centric portal for quick advice on how you can go green at home, work, and school.

My Green Montgomery is designed to help County residents find local programs, services, resources, and answers to environmental questions in one place. While the site is monitored by the Department, it is for the community, and reflects programs and events that may not be hosted or attended by Montgomery County Government.

My Green Montgomery was originally launched in 2011 with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
