University of Maryland Extension (UME) is a statewide, non-formal education system within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Mission

The Upcounty Citizens Advisory Board (UCAB) represents approximately 340,000 residents in the area of the county that is north of Shady Grove Road and including the communities of Boyds, Clarksburg, Darnestown, Damascus, Derwood, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Goshen,

VisArts is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to transform individuals and communities through the visual arts. Our vision is a vibrant, diverse community enriched and connected by the visual arts.

The Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board, created by Mo. Co. Council Resolution No. 9-714, 1980. advises the County Executive and the County Council on  almost every issue relevant to the county from the budget to land use to public safety.

The Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee (WUDAC) consists of 11 members appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council to provide advice on all matters affecting the Wheaton Urban District area (downtown).
