The mission of Montgomery County Recreation is to provide high quality, diverse, and accessible programs, services and facilities that enhance the quality of life for all ages, cultures and abilities.

The Committee is comprised of community members who will research and report on factors that affect participation and diversity in sports in Montgomery County.

Montgomery History—the county’s historical society—has been serving residents and the region through its research library, adult programs, educational activities, publications, exhibits, and conferences since the organization was founded in 1944.

During their October 20, 2022 Annual Meeting, members enthusiastically approved Nature Forward as the new name of the former Audubon Naturalist Society.

Created just a few years ago to address urgent short-term needs, Nourishing Bethesda (NB) stands today as one of the fastest-growing food insecurity organizations in our region.

One Montgomery Green (OMG), a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, is the successor organization resulting from a merger in 2017 between GreenWheaton, Inc.(GW) and Silver Spring Green, Inc (SSG).
